Custom Google search!

googleIt’s about time!

Google finally released their custom search tool today. This will allow anyone to create a custom, google powered vertical search directory!

This is not at all new to the industry since Yahoo and other’s have had this service for a while now, however; this is one more notch in Google’s belt to help it hold on to and gain even further inroads into the industry it is clearly dominating.

I can’t wait to try it out myself (really need an 8 day week here eh?). From what the article (above) says:

“It’s easy to create your own Custom Google Search. Google has created a wizard that leads you through the process in a few simple steps. Visit google.com/coop/cse to get started with the wizard, and for FAQ files and other information to learn more about the service.”

Should be fun, when I get a round-tuit I’ll definitely post more on this…

Got some more 411 on the Google search…

The details etc. are all on the Google Co-op Beta – Custom Search Engine page.

Very cool too you can make money placing Adsence ads on the results pages!
